Las lágrimas nacen del corazón

This work speaks about my difficult migration journey to Canadian lands. The colours that I used to convey this emotion, were somewhat opaque, as I feel it matches what I felt at the time. I used: black, blue, red and gray as references.  Not everything was painful though. There were parts of joy, which I chose to represent with yellow and white colours. 

The heart represents how strong I was able to become, after going through something so difficult, such as abandoning everything you know and love to adapt to an unfamiliar reality.
